Carpenter Bee Removal Solution For Bordentown, NJ

Carpenter Bee damage is typically only cosmetic and doesn’t usually impact the structure of your home, deck, or fence. But here’s the twist: carpenter bee larvae are a favorite treat for woodpeckers. These birds can cause even more trouble by drilling into the wood to get to the larvae.

The good news? Getting rid of carpenter bees and those pesky stains on your home is simpler than you might think! Anchor Pest Control offers a range of services to eliminate active carpenter bee infestations and prevent them from coming back and creating new holes. Let us help protect your home and keep it looking great!

To eliminate carpenter bees, check out our Pest Protect 365 services. We offer guaranteed coverage and removal of carpenter bees with our Pest Protect 365 Premium and All-inclusive services. Note that most pest control companies require customers to purchase a separate service for carpenter bees, but Anchor's got you covered with our Pest Protect 365 services. (Plus, we've also got you covered for 40 insects!)

We also offer a guaranteed one-time carpenter bee treatment. Check out our online shop for fast, easy, guaranteed carpenter bee service.

How much does it cost to get rid of carpenter bees?

And now, for the most pressing question of all… how much will it cost to get rid of an existing infestation?

Pest control companies typically charge between $500 and $2,500, with most people paying around $1,300 on average. You may notice this is a rather extensive range in pricing – why is that? Carpenter bee removal can vary so greatly in price due to the inherent broadness of carpenter bee damage. It can also vastly differ depending on the level of service provided.

Some companies charge based on the number of carpenter bee holes on your house, fence, wooden deck, the activity's height, or the infestation's severity. Some companies may charge based on the number of holes; we don't do that at Anchor Pest. At Anchor, we've got you covered with our Pest Protect 365 services (where most companies don't provide coverage for carpenter bees); this plan also offers year-round protection from a multitude of pests, including stinging insects, mice, ants, cockroaches, millipedes, centipedes, spiders, earwigs, silverfish, and more. We also offer a one-time service to eliminate carpenter bees that can be conveniently purchased online, and prices start at $305.

Carpenter Bee Information for Homeowners in NJ & PA

Do you suspect carpenter bees are damaging your home, deck, fence, shed, playset, or mailbox? Carpenter bees are large, black, and yellow in color. They are most often mistaken for bumble bees because they are similar in color and size. Still, they differ because carpenter bees have a black shiny tail section (abdomen) compared to the bumble bee, which has fuzzy yellow hairs throughout the abdomen. Carpenter bees are frequently seen in the springtime hovering around the eaves of a house or on the underside of a deck and porch railings. You may have even seen them darting and buzzing around your head!

Carpenter bees differ from termites because they do not consume the wood as food. They excavate tunnels in the wood for nesting and breeding purposes only. They discard the bits of wood from the entry hole areas, or they will use it to make partitions (walls) inside the tunnels of their nests.

Homeowners complain not only about the aggressive nature of these bees but about the round holes that are bored into the wood trim near the eaves and gables of homes, fascia boards, porch ceilings, outdoor wooden furniture, decks, wood siding, and window frames. Initial damage is usually minor, but new tunnels may be excavated and old ones enlarged, causing considerable wood damage.

The yellow, coarse sawdust from borings beneath their entry holes will contain their waste materials, leaving unsightly stains throughout your property.
